About the Provider
Deana Harmon, DO, FACOOG, is a woman of many interests-from water sports, art, music (especially the blues), interior decorating, travel and cultural studies. Yet, her most passionate interest? The provision of excellence in women's health. Raised in Southern West Virgnia, Dr. Harmon received a bachelor of science in biology with a chemistry minor, graduating magna cum laude from Marshall University, Huntington, W. VA. She went on to receive her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg. She completed a combined obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at the Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc, Michigan, a partnering training site of Michigan State University.
Dr. Harmon is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. With a passion for evidence-based medicine, she is da Vinci Robotics certified and interested in minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Dr. Harmon is committed to the care of the whole woman with avid interests in comprehensive obstetrical care, well woman visits and adolescent gynecology. She will be relocating to the Low Country after 13 years of practice in Tennessee with her husband, Jacob and her son, Gabriel.
