Helpful Information Regarding Riverside Women’s Care
We are committed to providing you with the very best care during your pregnancy!
Our Call Room hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30 pm and Fridays from 8:30am to 1:30pm (12:30 on the 1st Friday of the Month). If you have an emergency after office hours, you can contact the physician on call by calling Coastal Carolina Hospital at 843-784-1222 or Hilton Head Hospital at 843-689-8269.
Our physicians share call after hours. During your pregnancy we encourage you to rotate your care with all physicians. This ensures that each physician becomes familiar with you and your obstetrical history.
We ask that you silence all cell phones and discontinue cell phone use until after you have left the office. We have a (1) visitor policy, and no visitors under 18 years of age.
It is very important that we have your current telephone numbers, email and contact information for emergencies. Please be sure you report all changes of telephone numbers, emergency contacts and insurance information to the front desk service representative.
We look forward to caring for you and your baby. We recommend visits and testing at certain stages throughout your pregnancy. Deviation from your schedule is NOT recommended.
In an effort to streamline your check-in, we ask that you complete your online registration prior to each appointment. We certainly appreciate your patience and understanding. We request that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
All ultrasound scans are limited to one visitor/guest over 18 years of age.
Antenatal Testing helps our care team evaluate the well-being of your fetus during pregnancy. Our team follow the guidance of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. We will discuss the necessity of this screening if it pertains to you specifically.
OB Panel Testing is performed by LabCorp. There is a LabCorp phlebotomist and collection site at all (3) Riverside locations. Laboratory bills are separate from your Tenet/Riverside bill and are handled through LabCorp.

Most insurance companies require notification of pregnancy. It is the responsibility of the patient, YOU, to notify the insurance company of your pregnancy and any hospital admissions. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in reduced or rejected coverage and penalties can be applied. In addition to notification of pregnancy, your insurance carrier may also require notification of delivery.
